This project addresses labor and/or immigrant issues which might well happen everywhere around the world.
Tetsushi Higashino would like to work as a waiter with no salary at a café in the Prague Exhibition Grounds during the festival. Even though he has never trained as a waiter and he doesn’t speak the Czech language as he is a Japanese citizen, he serves with his best efforts and hospitalities, wearing the costume which seems like a NEET (a person who is Not in Education, Employment, or Training) or a nerd. It is similar to his previous project Takigawa which was held at Art Center Ongoing, Tokyo in 2016. He might work with roller skate shoes on (in the style of an American diner from the 1960s), make a drawing according to the customer's order, and sell it for the same price as beer in order to get a drink for himself. And this might be a metaphor of an Americanized Japanese immigrant to the Czech Republic.
In this project, he would just like to shake the ordinary urban life involving audience or customers in a modest and awkward way.
