Students from five Quebec theater schools are joining with English Canadian schools to organize a scenographic exhibition inspired by texts that have marked their imaginations in previous years, creating, this way, an Idea’s shelter.
The central element, a shelter of steel tubes, is transformed day by day by the students of the different schools. The public also come to interact, by writing sentences that represent weaving, by drawing, sketching, scribbling, weaving a canvas, creating a tapestry, helping during a performance etc…
This space is a changing and creative scenographic space, animated every day by our students. This work and the evolution of the space are documented and broadcasted on video in the exhibition at the end of the day. A short video was also created before the exhibit showing a personal vision of the inspirational texts.
A series of cylinders in which works are presented by students from all participating schools serve as walls on each side of the shelter. The work was created for the exhibition on the theme of imagination.
